BREDAHL'S MACHINE ROOM
- sculpture, relief and artistic considerations
- in and outside Skovvilla
Søren Bredahl, who is particularly active as an artist around Silkeborg, has worked with and investigated the possibilities of sculpture in 3D printing for several years. The results of his research, including the series Elementary Survival Strategy, are part of his Sideshow, which unfolds in the middle of the historical exhibition in Skovvilla.
The Sideshow also includes reliefs that are printed, and outside in the park a large installation is being built with the help of participants in an open workshop. It is called Constructed Nature and is an artificial wooden landscape that shows man's clumsy efforts to rebuild nature.
Bredahl himself writes about his exhibition:
The project aims to explore sculptures, reliefs and artistic considerations. As always, an exhibition is an expression of where the artist is in his exploration of the world he is investigating. The project examines the visual and philosophical aspect of art. Visitors are invited into the space for artistic reflections and the expressions it can give.
