ARTAPESTRY4 is an international tapestry exhibition with participation of artists from all over Europe, selected by a jury. Discover the many possibilities of expression, where the weavers are experimenting with new materials and new weaving methods.

International exhibition
31 textile artists from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Czech Republic, England, Scotland, Belgium, Poland, Austria and Finland are participating in the exhibition. The exhibition has been shown in Finland, Germany and Austria before it comes to Denmark.

Classical and experimental
The artists in the exhibition deals with a wide range of current topics and themes. The exhibition ranges from tapestries in the classical style to work that incorporate more experimental methods and techniques. The audience will have the opportunity to see the diversity and variation of the work of the weavers.

Crafts and reflection
Weaving is a slow process. With their works the artists conveying messages about traditions and craftsmanship, but also the value of reflection as part of the creative process. The weaves in ARTAPSTRY4 shows that contemporary issues can be dealt with in this particular art form.

ARTAPSTRY4 is the fourth juried touring exhibition organized by the European Tapestry Forum. The European Tapestry Forum is a forum for the exchange and development across borders.
