Sculptures in the ParkThe park surrounding the Art Centre Silkeborg Spa is part of the art centre exhibition area and undergoes continuous change. The park area is also a part of the state forest district of Silkeborg Vesterskov (Western forest) and always available to the public. The park guests will encounter new works of art and sculptures as well as singular objects from the old water spa facility that combine with the historically restored facades of the 5 spa buildings from the spa era to create a very special environment. Visitors will encounter sculptures and installations by a variety of artists that form a dialogue with this environment. Thus, there are several sculpting traditions represented in the park that form an interaction with and contrast to each other, the park, and the facility by the Arnakkekilden spring and the nearby lake. Parts of the park will on a regular basis be included in special exhibitions, just as several of the modern sculptures that visitors may encounter in the park have been created specifically for this location, including Jørn Larsen's logo that greets the visitor by the entrance to the area. |

Today, the park also includes works by the following artists: Hugo Liisberg, Anton Rosen, Kai Nielsen, Erik Heide, Reinhoud, Jean Clarebout, Annette Holdensen, Jørgen Haugen Sørensen, Steen Folmer Jensen, Peter Bonnén, and Mikael Hansen. Occasional special exhibitions may also include the park area. Children
There is a "sculp-tour" for children (8-11 years) and youngsters (12-16 years) consisting of a pamphlet that is issued to visitors free of charge.
Sculp-tour Guide
At present, a specific guide to the works in the park area is being compiled. The guide will most likely be published as a supplement to "Nyt (News)" - the periodical of the Friends of Silkeborg Spa - in the spring of 2004, and it will also be available separately.
